83 Gl SW conks out of gas

Hey Everyone, I have this 83 SW GL with a carburated 1800 5 speed. for some reason it runs ok but runs out of gas due to the float chamber going empty. I have cleaned and rebuilt the carb, changed the fuel pump the 2 filters and removed the gas tank to see if any lines were plugged. So far nothing has been broke or plugged or has fixed it. The car will drive you anywere but say you are going up a hill. it will run itself out of gas , I wait a 30 seconds, crank it a few turns , the carb fills up with gas and the I can drive it for a while. any suggestions would be great. SC
