April 5, 200619 yr Visited new salvage today,and one of many subes was this 96xt. Body looked pretty straght, and little if any rust. Says runs good, but bad turbo on it. What is this year and model worth? Thanks Tom
April 6, 200619 yr Well, I recently paid $1200 for one with just a slight amount of rust. The engine though has an SPFI block with Turbo heads for increased compression, so that made it worth a little bit more. If its a salvage car with a bad turbo, I wouldn't consider paying anywhere near $1200.

What is this year and model worth? Thanks Tom I've purchased fully functional 2WD XT's from $300 to $500. Turbo 4WDs should be worth a bit more, but not with a bad turbo. I'm thinking maybe $500 if it's in good shape, and go down from there.
