2002 turbo mod information needed.

Featured Replies

I have the 2002 WRX 227hp. I found the following mod to the turbo and worndered if anybody can give me their advice on it.

Step 1: look at the lower left hand cornor of your intercooler

Step 2: just past it you will see a T where 3 hoses plug into

Step 3: Unplug the hose that would be what the T stands on

Step 4: After you unplug that hose you will realize that the hose is actully 2 hoses with a joiner in the middle.

Step 5: Pull apart the two hoses and remove the connector from the hose still remaining attached to your car.

Step 6: Tha hose that is still attached to your car just let it hang inside your engine.

Thank you

Rob

I would highly recommend not doing this. If you don't know what you're modifying....don't modify it.

It sounds like their telling you to remove one of the hose connections going to the solenoids/valves.

What does this mod claim to do?

I'm with legacy777; I'd want to know what I am unhooking If I were you. Chances are it's hooked that way for a good reason.
