Does anyone out there know offhand what the timing belt change interval for a '94 EFI Justy 4WD is? I'm assuming it's 60K but I'm not sure...also, is it an interference engine design? I'm about to hit 121K and starting to worry. Also, the car will be out of service for a little bit for some pretty major repairs anyway, but it's still running great and there's no rust on the body so I think I have myself a keeper.

 

(I did look in the FSM and through the forum's Search feature. No dice. Also, the car did not come with an owner's manual.)

For youre peace of mind it wouldnt hurt to change it anyway. Its not an expensive part, youll have the time and while youre there inspect the tensioner bearing and oil seals as well. Then you KNOW its good for the next 60,000 at least if its a keeper

Right-but I'd still like to know what the change interval is. The dealer isn't much help (but the dealer here isn't ever much help with anything older than a 2000).

 

Oh, and if you're overseas, my Justy is equipped with the 1200cc EF12.

Andrew, according to this link it is a 60K mile replacement interval and the engine is not an interference design.
