Jaysz
Hi, Welp we have a 98 Subaru Impreza L with 163k, I purchased it with 159k put the rest on in about 1.5-2 months with 0 problems. So today I'm tooling around and I start hearing this high pitch whistling coming from the drivers side tire area, when I hit the brakes hard it stops until I get going again. I was a little rough on her this afternoon but nothing excessive before I started hearing this permanent whistle, seems I may have heard some type of noise earlier just didn't realize. Ok I have no expertise at all really but I'm guessing maybe a wheel bearing?? I would greatly appreciate it if someone with some knowledge could clue me in on what to check or replace. Legacy777
Does the whistle change pitch with speed?
Jaysz
Hrmm, don't think so I thought it might be breaks but I had it at the shop about 2k miles ago and he said lots of life front and back. It did make some type of sound when I hit the break a little bit ago when I went to get my wife.
