94 impreza l wagon Gas tank pull???

Featured Replies

I pulled down most of the gas tank on the new subie today.

Seemed like it wouldn't come down all the way with the exhaust dropped down and the straps removed? I was sure to remove the fill vent tube, electric connection (sending unit im assuming)

and the lines from tank and connection near the wheel well.

is there something that i am missing or do you have to drop the rear end out of the car to get the tank out completely??????

I was able to make enough room to slide the leaky line out, but i would love to drop the whole tank and replace all of the lines:banana:

The manual does say to remove the diff.

Its a fwd,, sorry i didn't mention,, (thought i did)

It seems that the rear "subframe"? (what i previously called the rear end) restricts the tanks ability to drop right down
