Urabus-84HBDR
This might save some time and labor. I have a 79 Brat has a ea71 (blown or h.g.) with s/r 4wd. I want to put a good ea81 in it, but want the 5s d/r with it. I have both laying around. If I took an old ea81 4s d/r and had the 5 s d/r kit from bratsrus1 put into it, that would fit and work? If I'm thinkin right. Lets hear what you all think. I'm down to that or... lots of extra work. Take 4 s d/r out of my driving hatch, trade for 5s d/r, put that 4s d/r into the brat and the ea81. thanks already. Well when ya got four of everything you can do things like that. I'm trying to get both to driving condition, motor/trans are my main obj. right now. other stuff will follow. posts and pics soon.
Free Range
compare the 5spd trans x-member, and the 4spd x-member in the donor vehicle with a tape measure, weld some crap together to make it all bolt up, then cut hole for shifter linkage and lengthen the driveline, or use the two piece DL by welding in nuts for the carrier bearing... sounds simple right -N
