06 outbackxt vs 06 legacyGT suspension

Featured Replies

Are these interchagable suspensions .. that's what I was told by the dealer. I was told that the only difference between these two cars is the taller tires and the beefer suspension.

I really wanted a Legacy gt wagon like the blitzen b4 but they don't make the gt wagon in a 5spd for 06

so I'm looking at a outback and reserving the thought of changin the sus later if I don't like the ride height... Am I missing something

The hard points are the same. So if you replace the springs and dampers, you'll be sorted.

The dealer is minimizing the differences. Go to legacygt.com. There are some gotchas if you want to change the OB. Primary differences are suspension; brakes; tires; and body cladding package. There are rumors that the manual shift GT wagon will be back for 07.

Paul,

We have coilover systems and sway bars from Cusco that will work on your XT. The coilover systems will lower the ride height significantly. The sway bars will help body roll in corners without affecting ride quality or height. You can choose from most of the suspension bits available. The 'TypeII Lower Arm Bars' are the only bits that do not fit your OB/XT.
