OBS Adj Clutch HowTo

Featured Replies

Hey,

First clutch in my '99 OBS replaced at 38K (ridiculous - only got SubNA to pay for 1/3). Second catching higher at 49K and I don't have any service manuals (does any source sell a reasonably $$$ set?).

Any sources for a HowTo?

Joe

you can get service manuals at http://techinfo.subaru.com , or buy a haynes/chiltons at pep boys, etc.

i believe that the obs is the same as the leg outback where it has a hydraulic clutch, where there is no adjustment. you probably have air in the system, or a leak. i would try bleeding the system, then check for leaks if the symptoms return.

The Impreza-based OBS has a cable clutch. Dealer adjusted the original when I took it in to complain about slippage. Prefer to do it myself, if possible.
