Fuel PSI for TD04

Featured Replies

My current setup is

stock turbo EA82

stock ea82 turbo injectors

TD04 turbo (stock boost)

WRX TMIC

HKS 3" DP

spider intake manifold

I'm trying to figure out what pressure I should be running at with the stock injectors. I'm just trying to keep it from leaning out. I've been hearing 36psi is about what I need can anyone confirm that ?

MSD sells a 36-45psi adjustable fuel pressure regulator for around $50 think that will work ? anyone have anything cheaper or that works better?

Stock is 36psi. (and some change)

Remember that that is a relative manifold pressure.

So when you are at 10 pounds of boost, its more like..

46psi - above ambient atmosepheric pressure (of course)

in answer to your question. Running stock boost, the stock FP is a good place to start. Does tend to lean out in the top end though.

Fuel pressure is only part of the problem though. you still have to deal with delivery, GPH and injector pulse width.

Delivery - Injectors

GPH - Fule Pump

Pulse Width - ECU/EM
