Almost scary, but yet poetic that you choose to use a picture of my RX for this question. Why you ask? Well my RX has hood pin's now, and besides myself only one other member of this board knows it. My hood pins are bolted in place and I use my hood protector to hide them, as I want my car looking as stock as possible. Here's a few pics I snapped just now of it (Excuse the dirty car has been raining here for a few days straight)

From a distance you would never know they were there, gotta get up close then you notice the small bumps under the protector. Jerry didn't notice them until I went to pop my hood for him......

Suppose you could bolt them on top of the protector, and use locks to make sure no one took off with it..but would make it extremely hard to clean under the protector (I take mine off everytime I wash my car to get all the dirt/crap out from under it). Never been worried about someone stealing my protector, just my car which is why I also have a contact on my hood for my alarm system.

Edit: Forgot to mention I have magnets in my hood protector that hold it down so it doesn't flap on the highway.

hi

i chose your car pic because it's a very nice car and soon my hood will be like yours...:)

now for the hood bra: i have some Q if you can help me with that:

how you stuck the hood bra to the hood?

if let say i dont put nothing under, will it move on the highway or...someone just can come and take it = poll it off?

also, if you say it have dirt under it, maby a silicone under it, just under the upper part of it...all the way = wont be any dirt=it wont move =no one can take it.

i tought to add those on it on each side...it's also black like the hood bra' it will hold it strong and with silikon under the protector...it will be perfect no?!

what do you think?

how it would look?

thanks dode...

The hood protector will come with straps and clips that attach to the underside of your hood to keep it in place. So no one can come buy and just take it off unless they can open your hood to do it.

It shouldn't flap on the highway if you get it on there nice and tight, mine didn't until I added the hood-pins under which lifted it up enough that air would go under it and make it flap a tad. Few magnets put inside the stiffening lips took care of that.

I'm sure if you wanted to silicone the thing on you could...most of us probably wouldn't go that far, but it's your car.
