Well, got my first minor vandalism last night. Some savage bent my antenna into several right angles. It was already a crappy pull-it-out-of-frame-manual flop-around-bang-on-your-roof-rack kind of antenna, but it worked, and did go back into the frame when I wanted.

 

SO. I figure I need to replace it, but does anyone know if there are any slick conversions to use powered ones/hidden in the frame ones/anything different ones at all?

 

Anybody ever rig up a thule rack for reception? I open to whatever suggestion/speculation/mad scientist setups.
