I received OEM rotors from 1stSubaru. Do they need to be cleansed of any machine oil residue? If so, how? On my Lexus several years ago the new rotors required elaborate cleansing.

Brake degreaser will work fine, and you're really looking to clean the braking surfaces.

Spirits might work too...

use white paper towels. Spray with brakeclean and rub off the surface untill the towels come off without black marks.
