um.... what does that mean?

what has to happen to be considered "salvaged"?

should i not buy it then?

what that means is in 96 somewhere in California the car was either wrecked or stolen and the insurance company figured it would cost more to fix it or replace parts then the car is worth.

this is what their definition of salvaged title means

A salvage vehicle is a vehicle that has been wrecked or damaged beyond repair; declared a total loss by the insurer; or declared a total loss by reason of theft. When an insurance company as a result of a total loss settlement acquires a vehicle, the insurance company must apply for a Salvage Certificate. If the owner retains possession of a salvage vehicle, the owner must obtain a Salvage Certificate before receiving a total loss statement from the insurance company.

But it says it had a salvaged title then later a theft happened.

But here is a odd thing to i just noticed. in 01 it had 64000 miles on it then in 03 it had 175000.

Looks like some fishy stuff going on with it. I would stay away from it. Not unless it is some amazing deal that would be just dumb to not get.
