March 30, 200719 yr Like the title says does anybody know if Gen 2 Brumby/ Brat seats will fit into Gen 1s? Found a 4x4 wreckers the other day that has serveral Brumbys and the seats certainly look the same, including the mounting frames. My 78 wagon drivers side seat gave up serveral years ago, most likely due to its age and my increasing waist line! I replaced the seats with Daihatsu Charade Turbo seats (Did you guys get those in the US? - They were probably too small!) which are really nice and comfortable but make it a real pain for my 6'2" frame to get in to the car, so I would like to use the Gen 2 Brumby seat if I can.
April 3, 200719 yr I don't think they do. The Gen 2's are wider. Even 80 Brat seats are tricky to fit in an 81, I got 3 of the bolts to line up.
April 3, 200719 yr Author Thanks Jibs That would seem to be a 'no'. Which is OK as on Friday I will be looking at a 1986 RX Turbo, so any extra cash I might have had for the Brumby/Brat seats will be going towards that!
