EA81-EJ swap Help with the alternator wiring

Featured Replies

I am having trouble charging my battery.

I have a 95 EJ18. Alternator has a plug coming out of the side w/two wires. A thick white red one and a black red one.

It also has the screw on terminal.

My BRAT is suppose to have three wires going to the alternator. One that is thick and it’s white red, and two white ones. After looking into my engine bay, I could only find a thick white red and a thin white red one.

Ok…. So from looking at the diagrams for both cars.

I took a outside piece of thick wire from the terminal and connected it straight to the battery. (this was part of the old EJ harness)

I took the BRAT thick white red one and the thin white red one and connect it to the thick white red one from the EJ plug. That leaves the black red one. It says that it’s an ECU wire.

Which wire should I connect this to?
