Spent 12 hours this weekend removing the spray-on bed liner. The only thing we found that really worked was Dad's Easy Spray stripper from Wally-World. It was still a PIA, and my hands are so sore, I still can't form a fist from all the scraping.

 

After work last night, we worked on the chips, dents and stripping off the door panels, lights, etc. Tonight, we'll work on the rusted areas and treat them.

Gotto love the yellow...the hard work so pays off...I know I have about 300 hours now into Rock and he still has alot more to go...but I love the feeling of accomplishment...Marys Yellow 78 is one of the vehicles that made me decide on going yellow...for the longest time we had a pic of it as a screen saver here at work on the one puter:)

I am curious too what you are doing with the bed now Mary .

Painted yellow like the body with the seats and carpet, like it was back in the day.

 

I'm still looking for new carpet hold-down bars, mine are raunchy, but with a some work, I can salvage them.

We have a bead-blast cabinet if you need them done over (they're the metal screw-on strips, right?)
