Just got my 98 legacy outback .......somebody who had this had the lights aimed straight into the ground.........

 

for bringing up the lights ,,, do i turn counter clockwise or clockwise??, the screw caps on the ends are broken off...so I have to use a wrench ........arrghhh !!

Umm, point it at a wall and see which way makes a difference. That's what I did on my Legacy.

On my 91, tightening the screw pushed the headlamps up.
