November 12, 200718 yr Cool! I hope this fixes it for you. Start it up, pry off that little rubber cap on the valve, carefully, it's probably dry as heck. There is the tiniest little adjustment screw inside. I'd go a half turn counterclockwise. I knew that I had fixed the problem immediately, but I had to readjust adjust all the other stuff that I monkeyed around with (idle speed screw, mixture screw, timing, etc) while I was trouble shooting this problem. But now she just purrs. It's beautiful. Let me know how it goes! Crabman
November 13, 200718 yr Author So i found my major vacuum leak. it was the gasket above the carb to manifold gasket. I still can't get it to idle real low, but it will idle around 1200 now which is much better than it was. I have noticed tht the idle seems to hunt a little bit. any ideas?

I was running way to rich. I adjusted the idle mixture screw quite a bit and now she idles well, doesn't die, and doesn't jerk while coasting, etc. No i just have a speedo issue which i posted in a new thread. -Dusty-
