November 29, 200718 yr i need to find out the dimensions for an ea82 wagon 3" lift.. all the blocks, spacers, etc.. since i work in a steel fab shop i can make my own lift for next to nothing, but i need to know all the dimensions.. sorry i can't make anything extra to sell.. shop liability and such.. So let me get this right. You want someone (SJR, AA, BYB) who has done the work of measuring and designing a lift kit to give you their specs. So that you can make one for yourself and not buy the one they make, that would actually pay them for their work? And you say you wouldn't build more, but what's to garaunty that shared information wouldn't become a new competitor? No offense. I don't have any stake in it. it's just my $.02
November 29, 200718 yr Its not really anything special in measurements though. The blocks are almost 100 percent literally the measurement of the kit you want. 3", 3.5", etc. Just space the body up. You can go 1" less at engine and trans if you wish without problems on axles. The strut pieces you can buy from SJR in Alloy if I remember correctly. Those are the only tedious pieces. If you must have them "DIY" you could buy a set and re-sell it when you are done making it from steel but I dont see the point in that. His prices on those pieces are VERY fair and nicely made. goes by Scott IN Bellingham IIRC.
November 29, 200718 yr Author gloyale---well, thats ok.. since i have lifted more soobs than most people on this board, and done more engine swaps, conversions etc.. i'm sure i'll figure it out.. if someone wants to share, great. if not, thats fine too.. and i don't Own a steel fab shop, just work in one, so i don't have hours to play with equipment to make stuff for my own personal profit, it is called a job for a reason.. would prolly take me 6 months of lunch breaks to make the lift anyways.. Shawn.. yeah i figured it was just 3" blocks so to speak.. and i still have a good idea of what the strut top mount looked like.. gotta get the mint wagon running first. still undecided on wether to lift or not since its sooo clean, lol.. if i do its only going to be a couple 3 inches.. 4" makes them too undrivable for daily use..
November 29, 200718 yr you know scott from bellingham has posted specs for his lift kit. out of the goodness of his heart, should be easy to find in the off road forum, scott rocks
