My 04 Subaru Forester security system is stuck in valet mode--It acts like it is in a loop of some sort--I can't de-activate valet and therefore cannot stop the blinking security icon

 

And according to book, no security is activated while valet mode is on--thus we are locked but not armed with alarm.

 

Can you help? Please advise

To switch between normal and valet mode, open the drivers door and hold the "Unlock" button on the remote for a few seconds. The Security light will begin to flash quickly when it has entered valet mode, and stop flashing when it has returned to normal mode.

Dear alias: Thanks for your answer. It worked. Now we're not blinky, or blinking ,all the time.
