93-00 WRX Steering racks fit L Series ?

Hi all , it's been suggested that 93-00 Impreza WRX racks may fit L series front cross members . The thing I need to know is if they do does the rack pinion shaft point in the same direction (angle) as the L series power rack ?

 

If it's a bolt up I believe the rack ratio falls from ~ 3.5:1 to 2.7:1 so quick rack ?
