Keyless Entry Question

Happy Holidays everyone.

 

Does anyone know if an OEM keyless entry/security system taken out of a 98 Outback will work (and be simple to install) in a 98 Forester S? Are the keyless entry wiring harnesses in the two vehicles identical?

Just a guess on my part, but I'd have to say that yes they would be the same. I recommend calling Liberty Subaru 888-SUBY 4WD & asking the parts man if they are the same. I have found them to be quite helpful.
