hi there everyone, im basically being lazy, dont really want to trall threads which have no anwser, but i need your help!

I have a absolutely mint 93 brat, im looking at making it going quicker, the quick part is the eay bit, just the rest is proving a problem

i would like full time 4wd, not really even wanting the dual range, but im not too fussed, rear discs, and possibly bigger brakes on the front, and the not so essential part, but would be nice, some better suspension

what do i need out of what,

and does anyone have anything that would work for sale, or be able to get hold of?

You could make some decent money here people! as im willing to pay good amounts! i cant get hold of these parts where i am!

Looks like your in England. and since Prince Harry is willing to serve in the military and fight in a war zone, I will withhold the mandatory "DO A SEARCH" blast.

It all really depends on the cars that you had available to you in England.

did the XT6's ever make their way over there. maybe they were called the Alcyone. The 6 cylinder one will give you a full time 4wd set up. There were also some GL-10s here in the states that had full time 4wd and the RX's had d/r full time 4wd. That and any EJ would work perfectly.

If you can't find a tranny from an EA series. You could use a tranny from an EJ and then connecting it to the your stock BRAT rear end. There are some 3.9 final drive trannies out there. That would save you from getting an EJ adapter plate/spacer. But you might have to get a custom drive shaft.

About wheels and brakes, for the rear, you need to get the aforementioned XT6 rear hubs. These are 5X100 and will work well with any impreza wheel. there is a thread here in the old generation forum about adapter plates to convert the hubs from 4X140 to 5X100. You can use a set of those adapters for the rear.

For the fronts you can use EJ stuff, but you might have some problems with axles b/c th EA81 control arms are pretty short. You can get the front control arms from an EA82 and then you would just have to match spline to the tranny.

find out what you have locally b/c

you will have to spend more money shipping the parts over to you.;)

PM me with any questions.

Well, if you just want to make it AWD with more power, you can just drop in any Legacy/Impreza/Forrester Engine ,Transmission, and matching rear diff. Custom length driveshaft may be needed. Use EA82 shifter linkage.

Rear disc brakes can be had of a 4 cyl XT without having to do a full 5 lug conversion. Also, Turbo GL/Loyale/Leone cars have the same setup, you could scavenge from them too.

Suspension there aren't many options without doing the five lug swap.
