My Loyale was attacked by a large beast who busted the grille. I got another one, and painted it with a Walmart paint called "Pure white"

 

As it turns out, it looks too white. Not bad of a match, and not really visible, but I wonder if I should repaint it to match the real color. What it is, anyway?

I would bet it's Liberty White, the same paint as on RX Coupes. I don't have the paint code but you should be able to find it at http://www.duplicolor.com/ and order it from your local parts store that sells Duplicolor.

May i suggest using satin black? i personally like a satin black grille.

 

but Krylon satin black is the perfect colot fro the balck door pillars, faded mirrors

 

Satin black is also the right color for plastic headlight bezels and grilles on ea81's

 

may i also suggest staying away from 99c paint, as it will oxidize and fade. at least use a clear coat with the cheap stuff

 

i have found Krylon white gloss to be real good for 87 white subaru

 

there are lso polymer blend paints designed specifically for trim and bunper molding
