ATTN: whoever it was that was asking about AA100 to AA110 MAF conversion

Featured Replies

I got the wiring diagrams drawn up by hand.. PM me whoever wanted to know how to change the SPFI MAF to the MPFI MAF.

basically goes:

SPFI MAF - unused, R, B, W

MPFI MAF - LgR, R, B, BR, W, unused.

R, B, and W are the same for the ECU... power, ground, signal

Lgr (light green and red) is for the burn-off signal from the burn-off relay.

BR (black and red) is for the (i think) burn off signal ground.

Key points: SPFI doesn't recognise this burnoff mode. MPFI does. The burn-off relay is supposed to activate for 4 seconds after the ignition shuts off only after being in closed loop operation.

Closed Loop, meaning, fully warmed up.

What it does is the hot-wire in the MAF accumulates build up throughout operation. When you turn your car off, for 4 seconds, the burn-off mode is operative. Basically heats the hot-wire up to 1000 degreez or so to burn-off that grime.

Like I said.. Burn-off mode isn't present in SPFI (that i know of).

Take the R, B, and W wires and run em to the correct locations. Ground off (BR) wire to a ground location.

sweet cause I have an mpfi sensor around, I guess that would be a bit of a flow improvement.
