I found on line some time back a procedure for reading trouble codes right on the trip meter. I have tried numerous times and it doesn’t work for me. I was wondering if anyone else has done this successfully.

I could not fine the original web site where I found it but my print out says “2006 combination meter and body electrical 72”

The procedure is :

(Begin the first push of the trip meter stalk before the sweep function ends)

- Ignition off

- Ignition on, small light on (parking light)

- Push trip meter 3 times

- Small light off

- Push trip meter 3 times

- Small light on

- Push trip meter 3 times

DTCs can be viewed on the trip meter by following the above procedure as above but pushing the trip meter 4 times each instead of 3

This would be so neat if it worked!
