hi, i have a 2001 legacy gt with a blown engine, i am wondering if an engine off of 2002 forester(ej25 sohc same as mine)will interchange with my legacy or are there any other models that will interchance with my legacy engine wise, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

Some will, even 2.2 engines can be made to work. Where are you? What's wrong with your old engine?

old engine spun a bearing, i'm from the bay area but the car broke down in oregon and it's the reason why i wanted to make sure that the forester engine will fit right in on to my legacy being the same ej25 sohc engine without any wiring or mounting modifications, thanks
