I am contemplating replacing dead auto trans with 5speed manual. Would like to kick around the idea before jumping into it. Both 92's are TBI fuel injected 1.8L.

keep in mind that EJ vehicles were around in 1992 as well, legacy and impreza stuff. that will not work in an EA vehicle (loyale, GL's, etc) without a bit more work than just swapping trans. the easiest way is to have a complete 5 speed parts car so you have everything. piecing it together is annoying.
