Will a power steering xmember from an 84 wagon fit in my 81 Gl Brat? Both have ea81's, and was wondering if anyone has converted to power steering. Thanks.

J, im almost positive the Gen2 will be wider than the Gen1.

 

I could be wrong, and i hope I am. Power steering in a Gen1 would be awesome.

I have been wondering the same thing, sure would make for better parallel parking. lemme know what you find out

Yeah as soon as the weather warms up I can do some research. I have both a gen 1 Brat without an engine in it and I also have an ea81 wagon with power steering as well, so I'm going to remove both x-members and do some measuring.
