Need bigger injectors, cheap

Featured Replies

I have a '90 Legacy 2.2 engine that I need bigger injectors for. What are my options for cheap higher flow injectors from another Subie. Looking for about 400 cc/min.

Background: The engine is being used in a Grassroots Motorsports $2009 Challenge Porsche 914. I am using a 2.5 shortblock, delta cams, piggyback engine management, and running E85.

Hope this helps. I just need something that will work, and is cheap (less than $50).

Thanks,

Ryan

What would they come out of? Do you know?

That's what I'm asking. From what I read the EJ22T are 390 cc/min, and WRX are 440 cc/min, but I am trying to find out what will fit.

Injectors from a EJ20G should fit as they are 440ccs and a side feed (I believe but I could be wrong) setup like whats in there.

Ok so I need sidefeed? I wasn't sure if they were top or side (don't have the engine at my house yet).

stock (yellow top) sr20det injectors are listed ast 370cc but RC engineering lists them as 400cc. These injectors are side feeds and are becoming more common as more people import sr20's from japan. here is a thread on nasioc.com:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=92402&highlight=cheap+400cc+injectors

they talk about the characteristics of the sr20 injectors in a subaru.

some nissan injectors fit in the same way subaru injectors do, so you can broaden your search.

hope that helps.
