I am doing a 2008 3.6 conversion into a Vanagon. Is there anyway around the Canbus system :eek:to prevent the computer sending the engine into a "limp home" mode? Or do I need to give up and purchase a stand alone EMS? Thank you!

Yes, you can get the can bus to work. Most of what you need to know to do it is here. Having said that, by the time you got done with that, you'd probably be better off to go to a stand alone ECM.
