I have a 1981 dl i am looking to out a lift on it and dont want to spend over 200 dollars any way i could make some brakets for some cheap mods to get a 2-4 inch lift would be great.

Sorry I didn't reply to your message. This should be in the offroad section and there are many answers to this question in that section. But yes, you can make blocks to do your own home made lift. It takes some cutting and maybe even some welding. But I did mine in the driveway with simple tools. Also, if you plan on putting bigger tires on the car as well, you might want to put a dual range tranny in as well. I believe since you have a DL that you only have a single range tranny.
