hey guys i have 2 loyales, one 2wheeldrive carburated, with a beat up body, and i have a nice looking non rusty 4wd wagon that has spfi.i already pulled off both intakes tonight and got both engines ready to pull for tommorow, and the carburated on has smog pumps emmissions crap on the bottom of the engine on the side of the exhaust areas, i was just wanting to make sure that there will be no ill effects if i plug off the emmissions stuff down there? and has anyone else out there done this swap? i did it once but it was like 4 years ago and it was at a shop so i never seen the car again. thanks

never done it or messed with carbed stuff but i'd think you're fine.

 

as long as all the EFI stuff gets hooked up properly then everything should work fine if you plug up the holes needed.

 

you can't strip the block down, the carbed block actually has more "holes" in it than the other block?

 

i've plugged EGR and other ports before, folks do it a lot.
