I need some body advice

Recommended Posts

alright, so here's the deal..........I wanna lower my brat just a little for better street performance, and I was wondering, because my brother just raised his truck with shackles, could I lower mine the same way? I think I wanna just drop the front maybe an inch.........the rear is fine and I know I'm gonna love it........

.......also, does anyone have any advice on my best bet for making a front push bumper perfectly aligned so it looks good..........not lopsided y'know

Thanks ya'll, can't wait to post pics..........Later

Uh, nope, not gonna be able to lower it like that, there isn't a shackle anywhere on a Subaru.

You'll have to change out the front struts, or at least the springs in the struts to get it down. Talk to Substyles, I know he's lowered his rig, and I think there are a couple of other people that have.

Tape measure, just measure each side, adjust, remeasure, and so on untill it's good and centered. Not really sure whot else there is to do.

Yes, pics are good!!

about the only thing you can do on a small budget is to cut the coils in the front. The rear has torsion bars that you have to reset but if you plan on going down with it, you might want to pull out the bumpstops in the rear for more clearance. I cut 3 coils out of the front and I have about an inch and a half of travel with isn't very much but I plan on finding springs and shorter struts to work but I have had no luck so far.
