Michael Levis
Some dumb bastard put the valet button behind the control box!!!! I took the car to Walkers Renton Subaru to fix the flashers going all the time and they charged me $47.00 to turn the alarm off but didn't fix the problem. I have a great 97 legacy outback..ok she leaks a little oil, and she goes to 3,000 rpm before shifting on hills but I love her and her 336,000 miles and the $12,000 I'll end up paying for her. So any help here would be appreciated -Thank you

worknwood
Don't know about your Legacy, but my Forester has a small black button at the very back edge of the undernieth dash plastic, left of the stearing column. This button is used to recode your remote entry system as well reset it. Your owners manuel should give directions. My button was actually haging near where it was supposed to be mounted, left there at manufacture or the nut worked off. You can find relacement remotes on ebay and recode them to yours system if you need be. Darrell
