DeeVious
Yep, when the car is shut and locked, if you lift the drivers door handle you hear a short 'beep' from inside the cabin area! If you hold the handle for about 10 secs (with the key on), the car emits a long 'beep' from inside the cabin! I presume it's part of the keyless entry system, but as I brought the car secondhand, I dont have a manual or even a keyless remote.... Can anybody tell me what exactly is happening here and how I can use it?
DeeVious
On doing a bit of research I have found that it is indeed part of the keyless entry system. There is also a way of programing a 'pin' number in to the door handle by some unknown combination of turning the ignition on and off and lifting the door handle. This allows you to open the car if you lock your keys in I suppose (good for surfers too). Now, my question is, how do I re-program the door handle pin number??
