shelbyguy Posted April 4, 2005 Share Posted April 4, 2005 Hi~ Wife of mechanic here.... trying to solve why after the installation of a new (used) tranny..on our 92 legacy LS....the speedometer will no longer work? We've tried using a drill to see if the cable has life to it, and it doesnt.... we've tried making sure that all parts have solid connections and they do.... is this a typical thing to happen and or what other ideas does anyone have? Cougar Posted April 4, 2005 Share Posted April 4, 2005 I would first inspect the cable and make sure the other end is ok by pulling it out of the housing. Since the gauge worked before the work it is doubtful that it is the problem. The end of the cable may be broken and a replacement is needed or the cable just needs to set in the gauge end correctly.
