flyingvisions
Hi, need new tires don't want to send a fortune. Spoke to this guy at Mavis who said that Subaru's go throught tires at about twice the rate of front wheel or real wheel cars, so that at tire that is rated for 60,000 miles will last approx. 30,000 miles on a Subaru. This is the nature of the AWD. I had the Yokohama Geolander tires on my car and they are pretty much shot at 30,000. He suggests getting the Mirada tire but they are also made by Yokohama. Have suggestions? Thanks
mattocs
Rotate your tires every 3,000 miles and you should be able to get the mileage they are supposed to. Also make sure they are balanced and allignged.
slo5oh
Bought my car between 50k and 60k and I didn't have to replace the tires until after 100k. 50k out of a set of tires is great in my book. I never rotated either, and I'm sure the tires would have laster longer if I had. Ya know... I did have my car in the tire shop to do the brakes and I know they rotate for you when you do a brake job... So they may have been rotated 1 or 2 times. I bought a set of LINK Yokohama Avid V4s from tirerack. Great tires... Now I have a set of new wheels and tires off an '04 wrx that I picked up for less than I paid for these tires... If only I had found these new wheels 6 months ago. .
carljwnc
I'm going to replace my Geo's with BF Goodrich Traction T/A's. Great reviews on tire rack and another forum. Reasonable price, M&S rated and hopefully they will be OK in the dirt.
