Moving to New England oil question

I'm in AZ right now and tend to run 10w-30 given who hot it is and how cold it never gets? I'll change it prior to the long drive, should i do the cross country on 1030 and then go to 530 or just put 530 in for the cc part. 2800 miles at approximately 80mph?
any thoughts thx

That said, in my old OBW's we used Castrol High Mileage 5-30 in winter and 10-40 in Summer.
