  1. I put rear disk brakes on my 81 gen 1 brat. It was pretty easy all I had to do was grind a notch in the trailing arm for one of the caliper bolts. I got the entire brake setup, calipers. backing plates, hoses etc, off of a 88 4wd xt. Other than cutting the notch it was all a bolt in deal.
  2. I was changing the exhaust gaskets on my 82 brat last weekend and saw this thing between the head and the exhaust pipe and wondered what it is and what it does? I assume it has something to do with emissions. Can I chuck it when I have a new exhaust put on my brat?
  3. are gen 1 cvjs the same length as a gen 2 cvj? if not what is the differance between them? also another question are cvjs stronger then dojs?
  4. thanks for the input guys. my fuel and idle jets were spot on but the air correction jets were way off. i have a 116 and a 110 in there now but am changing them very soon. i dont have a return line or a regulator yet. i dident think that i needed them when i did the swap. how would you hookup a return line and would it make that much of a differance? o yeah the carb came off of an opel.
  5. Sorry if this queston has already been asked but i am new to the board. I swaped a junkyard weber dgav onto my 81 brat with the redline adapter after i had rebuilt it. My car runs better than it has ever ran before but i am only getting about 10 miles to the gallon. Does anyone know what are the proper jet, emulsion tube, and venturi sizes are?
