  1. Thanks, I'll have to try that.
  2. My Grandfather has a '88 Subaru GL with the 1.8. It broke the t-belt on the drivers side and so we replaced both belts. We've got the valves timed according to the book, but unfortunately, a well meaning friend messed with the distributer and we can't get the ignition timing set. Any info about doing this would be appriciated. Thanks, Dave
  3. I've been reading some of the threads and have noticed that some of the 2.5L had headgasket problems. Were those troubles limited for the most part to certain years, or do most of the 2.5L seem to have this trouble?
  4. Thanks for the info! What kind of fuel economy are the 3.0L getting?
  5. Hi, I owned a 98 Legacy Outback with the 2.5L engine, and it was probably the best vehicle I ever owned. I was just offered the oppertunity to purchace a 2001 Outback L. L. Bean with 41k on it and I was just wondering how the 3.0L hold up when compared to the 2.5L.
