  1. The Twin power adder is becoming very popular. Im in the process of doing that with my GTP.. I have a brand new turbonetics T 70 turbo and a ported and polished eaton m 90 SC. The car super charged makes 439.6 whp Turbo it will make over 600 whp and turboed and SC ed will produce over 800 whp without n2o. Also the car will have a air to water IC and a air to air IC. I will be running 8 lbs boost with the SC off the line and at 3800 rpm it will bypass and run the turbo at 18- 25 lbs boost up top. A GTP friend that did this was playing around with it at the track and with SC running 7 lbs and the turbo running 11 lbs boost the car spun half way up the track ( this is a FWD drag car ) and ran 10.02 @ 137 mph. with LOW boost:slobber:
  2. Im sure you did but have you checked the vaccume lines around the intake?? If you removed your intake its a good chance you either cracked a vaccume line or had one fall off. You can also check for vaccume leaks by using the carb cleaner trick.. If you dont know what im talking about PM me Good luck Ryan K
  3. Thanks everyone. since I will not need injectors or ignnition this is going to be easier than I thought. Do they make a cooler T- stat for the 2.2?
  4. so these cars have 9 : 1 comp that not that high espicially for low boost. I have my supercharged l67 at 8.7:1 and the turbo l67 at 8.4:1. Ive ran 15 lbs of boost on 9.5:1 comp with no problems. If you think the injectors will work with low boost then maybe I will get some sort of cheap IC setup in there. I have a dsm one laying around somewhere. What would be recomended for the ignition if not using cooler plugs? I dont understand why you say it will die out with cooler plugs. Thanks Ryan K
  5. does anyone know what compression this engine has? I will be running low boost and hope to only spend around 500 for the whole thing. I feel I can get away with sligtly bigger injectors and turbo which I have already, and some custom pipes. I will have no IC or anything but cooler plugs and maybe some better wires, and probably rewire the ignition with better wires. I will only run about 5 lbs boost with this turbo. I dont want to buy a kit because I have always make my own kits and have a turbo L67 with a T 70 in the works also which will put down over 650 whp with a v6 and no n20. I just want to experiment with this 2.2 a little since I have a turbo just laying there. Does anyone know what injectors the 2.2 has and maybe some other engins to compare with? Thanks Ryan K
  6. Has anyone ever just added a turbo to their 2.2 outback??? I just purchased another and am toying around with the idea of putting it on the sube. Id like to know of a injector that will fit thats a LITTLE larger than stock.. Does anyone know what thef flow stock? Is the timing controlled the computer? or is it manual with a light? Does anyone have anything to add or to look out for when doing? More details to come soon Thanks Ryan K
  7. I need the plug gap for my 96 2.2 liter engine. anyone help a guy out with this?? Thanks Ryan K
  8. I need the plug gap for my 96 2.2 liter anyone help a guy out with this?? Thanks Ryan k
  9. Lucky texan I have a 5 speed manual. Thanks for all the info... Do you or anyone know how much weight you can pull with these things?? I have a GTP that I drag race and whenever I need a stock oem part Ive always call a place called edmorad parts which just sells grand prix parts. Is there a place that just sell subaru parts? Thanks Ryan K
  10. I have purchased a 96 outback impreza gt. I love the car, its in good shape and seems to be a good runner with 140,000 miles. Im wondering what the towing weight is for these things? Where is a good cheap place to buy new / used parts for these? Where a good place to buy performance parts for the 2.2 liter? With 140,000 miles on the car im wondering how long these engines last? where can I get a lift kit? can you somehow turn these things into 2wd by pulling a fuse or something?? Thanks Ryan K
