i would go with a electrical problem. if you know you have a vacume leak than try and fix that first to see how the idle goes from there. It's really hard to fix one problem when you know of other things that need to be fixed. i believe the engine should be 8 deg. Before. Check some of the grounds for sloppy conections, or rust.

i agree i think it was too tight.. casuse the belt to strech and sometimes flyoff..
you want a bit of play in the belt when its on

wow nice power, i'm waiting to for someone to get a 4wd dyno here intown that i can get an idea of power. Right now i have stock engine with 10 psi boost.
last night i put it up to 15psi (no intercooler:banghead: ) and just spanked a mustang 5.0L it was good times. Exept for the now trashed clutch. oh and i have an open pipe turbo back 2". no muffs and the only cat is in the downpipe. Soon to have a water to air intercooler, Megasquirt, STI downpipe. i'm hoping for 150 at the wheels.

the rx was a different body and has a really cool driveterrain i know about the setup but not enough to elaborate and give you accurate information
the gl is the luxary model if i am correct but it came in three body styles if i am right a hatchback, a sedan and, a wagon.
the rx is just a two door coup
how can you say it was just a two door coupe? i just died a little inside:(

i'm going to be running a rally suspention set up. But nothing's available i'v looked everywhere. DMS, Bilistien, Tein, so i was thinking of running a WRX suspention. Has anyone done this before?

the RX's are verry rare. up here in canada i heard that the dealerships only had access to ONE car.
I love the D/R trannys in the RX i put it in low for auto-x's/rally-x's and high for dailly driver (or viceversa can't remember)

the seats are probably just stuck there's only the top latch. As for the oil? if your not leaking it it's probably just someone spilt some(alot) and never cleaned it up. you could check powersteering fluid everynow and than as with all the other fluids. There could have been a leak in the past that was never cleand up also.

could just have bad luck or you could have too high of a presure in your cooling system

Just some subie rims I found at the junkyard.
Here is my RX with 15" Pugs on it:
After I put the new front struts and lowered it, the 15" rims were too big. I had to replace them with the 13" spoked rims in order to save my fenders and tires.
Too bad you arent in Sacramento. There are a few sets of pug rims in the local junkyard.

i love the of the 13" sopoked more. what are they from? if you ever want to sell them let me know

thats a nice looking RX... and hey your in BC!!! good work... are you appart of the WCRA or more likely the IRC???
i'm slowly getting into TSD rally... VERY slowly...
and hey... about pugs... i call first dibs on the first set found in BC...
i see the odd set of pugs around but they are all attached to cars...
you also might want to check out saltair recycling... they deal only in subarus... i've gotten parts from them before but i have never been there... they are on the island... close to ladysmith... they might have some nice rims for ya...
yeah i'm a part of the IRC club.

sorry about the pic size i'm not too good with comps. I bought the car all white and i did the rest. I'v looked all across B.C canada and no one has any pug rims, I want to switch so badly but cant find anything. The plan is for the car to be stage rally ready in 4-6 months for the new season.so rims ar'nt number one on my list but there up there. I like the spoked rims better than the pugs what are they from?
