    Hi all, just got my 96 outback EJ22 replaced with a 98 Legacy EJ22. Original engine died at 260,000 mi. I guess this means i had the SOHC 2.2L 4cyl (90-96) - EJ22E, and now have the SOHC 2.2L 4cyl (97-01) - EJ22EZ What's the difference? (besides the "z")

    96 Outback legacy- passed 250,000 mi last month- put in a used tranny at about 240,00, but engine is orginal. Has been lacking some power in colorado hills and uses some oil, but she is still going.
