  1. Can anyone please help me find somewhere reasonable -besides a dealer- to buy an extra alarm remote? and can I program it to work on my car? the dealer wants $120.00 just for the remote. Thanks Robert
  2. Thanks to all who cared enough to reply. I really appreciate it! I have pasted here the items listed on a website for the 60K service (for $400.00) "Valvoline Brand Everything...This includes, Motor Oil, Tranny Oil, Diff Oil, and Brake Fluid. All Weather Coolant, Subaru OEM Fuel Filter, spark plugs, and Air Filter, Rotate Tires, Washer Fluid, Check Tire Pressure, Torque Wheels, and Inspect Drivetrain/Belts" I have replaced ALL the lubricants (Oil, Tranny and both Diffs and Brake fluid) with Synthetic fluids at 12,500 Miles. When would you suggest I replace these fluids (Minus the Oil, of course) I have replaced the front and rear brakes and resurfaced all rotors in July 2006. I would appreciate your input! Thanks Rob

  4. Hello, All: My 2005 Forester is ready for its 60K service. The local dealer insisted that that service be done at their shop for $600.00 Can anyone recommend a more reasonable quality alternative to have the 60K service done for a more reasonable price? and is it true that the 60K service must be done at the dealer? I live in the Santa Rosa, CA (Sonoma county) area, but am willing to go to San Francisco or Oakland, CA for the service. Thanks Robert
  5. Hi: I have a 2005 Forester 2.5 XS. I would like to find a source for Non-Dealer Parts. I am looking for a cabin Air Filter (NOT the Engine Air Filter). It sits behind the Glove Box. It fits the 2003/04/05 Model Cars. It costs $62.00+Tax at the Dealer, and none of the local Auto Parts stores even have a part number for it. Can someone please help? Thanks Rob
