  1. My donor car is a 1991 Legacy L n/a 2WD MT...definently 3 big gray plugs. I just finished pulling the entire wiring harness last night, so I'm certain of it. What a pain in the rear. Most of the sensors (MAF, crank, cam, knock...) are on the harness that goes into the cabin behind the heater. The only two I can't figure out yet are the VSS and the neutral sensor. What do I do with those??? The motor is going into my '87 GL carb wagon, so I don't think I have a VSS to hook up to... BTW- Thanks to all of you that have posted stuff about this process. I only wish there was a comprehensive write-up like there is for the swap into a VW, and it looks like it is starting to happen! Cheers- Aaron
  2. Well, add me to the list of folks working on the legacy into GL swap! I finally scored a decent '91 Legacy with a baked clutch for cheap! Runs great- drove it home for $275!!!!only about 110K on the motor... I just ordered my adapter plate from MRose, so hopefully I'll get the process started in the next month or two. Thanks to all of those on this board that have posted and compiled SO much info about this process. I'm pretty sure I would never have thought about doing the swap without all of the hard work done by you folks... Cheers- Aaron
  3. Cool- a little rust doesn't scare me at all. Any cheaper with no paint? I'm down through the Portland area all the time...I could just pick mine up. Seems like shipping might be a bit for a pair of bumpers...BTW- do you have a weight for them yet??? Aaron Seattle
  4. Well that did it for me! I'm definently in for front and rear tubular bumbers for my '86 GL- let me know what you need for deposit or payment. One thing though- Is there any way I could get them bare? I've got other things to weld to them, and I really hate the smell of burning powdercoating...plus it would just be way more pleasant to not have to grind the crap off! Cheers- Aaron Seattle aronjenn2002@yahoo.com
