Having a problem with icing on my wiper blades as I'm driving. 2005 OB XT with stock blades on, will the Subaru brand Winter Blades help with icing? If so, how?

Looking to have windows professionally tinted and wanted some tips/advice on looking for tinters...bad/good experiences, etc. What to look for? Materials? Thanks.

I'm a new owner of 2005 OB XT and my friend told me that with all turbo engines, in addition to allowing a minute or two for the engine to warm up, I need to allow the engine to cool off for a minute or two before I turn it off. Any input? Is this true?

Where can I find a front license plate bracket for my 05 Outback XT? Not just a frame for aesthetics, but the actual bracket to attach the license plate to my front bumper? Thanks.

Has anyone imported anything from Australia? Namely, I've been looking at some of the beautiful brush guards and nudge bars from East Coast Bullbars in Australia. They look really nice, but not sure if importing something from Australia to the U.S. presents any problems with customs/taxes/fees/etc (beyond the ususal shippign and handling)?

Okay, so I've read a lot about putting winter tires on an inexpensive set of steel rims, but around where I live (San Fran bay area) all the shops seem to have are spinning chrome and gold 24 inch rims for H2's and Escalades. Where to buy inexpensive steel rims?

No, not for daytime running use, but for use at nighttime on those dark mountain roads. I agree, the lights can be quite blinding and dangerous to others if used when others are oncoming.

Has anyone installed driving lights? I've got an 05 OBW XT and have seen some great driving lights, but have no idea where they would install ... directly on the bumper or on the grill? If I had one of those cool australian brush guards I could install it on there. Also, as I have no mechanical/electrical experience, is it difficult to wire these things? Thanks.

New Subie owner (05' OBW XT), what's the deal with snow chains for Subarus? I've read and heard differing opinions (diamond chains versus Z-style cable chains)? Front wheel application only? Any input?

How'd you install those driving lights? Are they attached to the grill or bumper? Pretty easy installation? I think it looks great! Does it decrease airflow into the engine significantly (ie, you don't heat up do you?). Thanks.

Just bought my first Subaru ever! Super excited! Got an '05 Outback 2.5 XT and am wanting a front bra for it, but all I've seen are bras for non-XT models. Do they make bras for the XT model?
