  1. Check out this thread: http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=49131&highlight=official Read through the pages and then contact 4x4Brat who produces proper fitting lug nuts for these alloys. They are about $6.00/ea. Mine are in the mail though my 2" lift kit was installed today and it looks awesome.
  2. Just an update on my car for others thinking of doing this. I've cleaned up the Peugeot 504 alloys and spray bombed them flat black. I picked up some almost new 205/70/15 snow and mud tires for a wicked cheap price and got them mounted and balanced. In the next few days I should receive 16 brand new plated pug lugs thanks to Dan (4x4brat) to mount these wheels properly and safely. Also in the mail, or stuck in customs, a 2" boss lift thanks to Bill (the beast i drive). Next mod may be a rear disk brake conversion, unfortunately the local subaru junker (Saltair in Ladysmith) just scrapped all their cars two weeks before I bought this car! Here is a picture of what it should look like when the lift is installed, only more level I hope:
  3. Found it. 2 wires going to the latch mechanism behind the trim. I just cut them and now there is no more dash light indication. Not ideal, but I'm happy. Conversation with myself. End of thread.
  4. I just replaced my very rusty rear door/hatch on my wagon '92 wagon with a mint condition hatch from an '86. Everything lined up fine including the wiring, locks, struts, weather stripping etc. The wind deflector mounting holes were off by 1/2" its pretty much the only difference. The only problem is my dash light is on indicating the hatch is open when its closed. Its a bit annoying while driving at night, also the cabin light stays on! If anyone knows where the sensor is located, it would help me out a ton! Thanks, Jeff
  5. In about a month I will place an order for a 2" kit. From stock.. to ready to rock! -Jeff
  6. Do the pug lugs have the same thread pitch as the stock loyale studs? Heading to the junker in the morning with a buddy, any recommend tire sizes I should keep an eye out for? Cheers, Jeff
  7. Wheel info: 15 inch, 6Jx15 FH-H25 Hey, I just picked up these alloys, planning on fitting it to my '92 loyale 4x4. I put one up against my right rear and noticed the diameter of the center bore didn't match the drum brake casing. I don't have pug lug nuts so I didn't even try to torque it down but the clearance looked very tight either way. I haven't tried lining up the front yet. I'm sure many people on this site know exactly what modifications are required. Honestly I haven't done the usual research, today I just randomly came across these pug rims locally and remembered the 140mm bolt pattern fits our subies! They look cool so I went and picked them up without thinking. Good or bad impulse buy? Here is a picture of them: http://postimage.org/image/n3kfsj0yj/ Any help would be appreciated especially with a good fitting tire size. My wagon is stock height btw. Cheers, Jeff
  8. Other than some sort of cathodic protection system, what could I have done to protect my cars metal work from the dreaded iron oxide?
  9. I ended up just jacking up the crossmember directly under the split. This closed the gap and allowed me to weld on a few strips of bar stock. It seems to be holding well. There is a ton of rust along that tube. I am suprised they didn't use 1/4 inch steel for that area, it seems to be a weak spot. The soobs lives again, no surprise here. Thanks for the replys everyone.
  10. Looks pretty rusty eh. I think the combination of rusting, and my driving habits, which apparently cause great stress on that area, are the main factors here.
  11. Yeah thats what I'm thinking, still haven't looked at it to much. To busy. Do I need to host my images and post the link?
  12. I have a photo on my cell I could show. Its pretty poor quality though. I'll post it anyways.
  13. Did you check your shoes for dog sh*t? It might solve the problem.
  14. Car: EA82 88 Subaru DL fwd n/a 266k The past few days have been extremely icey. Driving to and from work I noticed my rear end tends to track slightly in a direction other then straight. I thought it was just the ice until the problem got worse. I parked my car, got out, saw that both rear wheels were cambered in at the top. WTF??? so I drive home, go to sleep. This morning I look under my car, to see my rear cross member snapped in half. I will soon post a picture of it, it is unbelieveable. I plan on jacking the car up, and welding the crossmember back together. I am curious if anyone has ever heard of this happening, or has experienced it themselves. I guess my car is a write off at this point eh?
