Thanks everyone, We finally figured out what was wrong, the mechanic deternimed that the voltage regulator was bad, replaced the alternator solved the problem, thanks again to everyone for their advise. Its good to have running again

I just talked to our local sub guru, he checked it out and said it just needed the battery charged, apparently the owner didn't give his all of the details, I don't think a discharged battery would present all of these problems, I just had a thought, two days before this happened I had both belts changed, Alt. and compressor, is it possible maybe they are too tight or the wrong belts, it seems strange this happened right after I had them changed. No check engine or brake lights on, and when it did restart, at one time it acted like it didn't have enough power to move. I let it set and idle to charge up the battery some, Didn't help Roger

mileage is 180K , everything was checked out in the spring, was ok then, is it possible for the alternator to cause loss of speedo and tach Roger

I have a 95 legacy wagon awd , 5 speed, I was driving it today, we had heavy rains, I noticed the past couple of days , on occasion it would feel like I would loose power momentarily and then it was back, today I was driving and I lost my speedometer and tach, my radio power and when I stopped it wouldn't restart right away, I left it sit about twenty minutes and it started right up, but lost power and radio shortly, finally had it towed, any suggestions, Thanks Roger

I have a 95 leg sw, I have a button on the left hand side of the dash, I would assume it is a fog light switch by the marking, it appears as if it is factory, is that where the factory one should be, and how hard is it to mount an aftermarket foglight system, I have the cutouts in the bumper but no lights. I have a 95 legacy wagon, I want to install a set of after market speakers in the rear cargo area, does anyone know if they are prewired from the factory even though there is no speaker grills back there, Thanks Roger

do you mean the 03 seats won't fit in a 97 legacy, and is it just a easy swap to change seat belt receivers Roger

I tried swithching from left to right, they won't change, the seat back lever is in the way of the seat belt receiver, unless I'm doing something wrong, any suggestions Roger

Do I just remove the rails, how does the seat back recliner lever work, it will be on the inside beside the console, or am I looking at it wrong. Roger

I have a 95 legacy wagon, the drivers seat is totally wore out, very uncomfortable, the passengers seat is the same as new , can I remove the seats and exchange the rails. an other question what years will interchange with mine without a lot of work. I appreciate all of your help Roger

Thanks for all of the help Problem solved, I changed thermostat, cap, rad hose, antifreeze, and followed the directions you all gave, perfect heat, no overheating, again thanks for all of your help Roger

I changed the thermostat, gasket and radiator cap today, all oem. Still having problems getting it to bleed, and only one of the heater hoses was warm not hot, I took one of the heater hoses off and ran a garden hose thru it. Water runs through it freely now. the heater hose on the passenger side is real hot and the one on the drivers side is warm, What is the step by step procedure to bleed the system, I just filled it with water to flush the system out, Thanks for all of your help, and what should the air temp be coming out of the vents when everything is working properly. Just one note when the radiator was drawing water from the overflow tank it actually collapsed the top radiator hose , is this normal Thanks Roger

Need suggestions I have a 95 legacy wagon AWD, the temperature gauge goes up about 1/3 of the way, and stays there, I have warm air, not hot, The car did not overheat in the summer at all, ran cool stayed at the same place as it does now. Where should I start by changing thermostats, flushing the system, any help would be appreciated. Roger
